Purdi was a male Troyian living on Earth in the 23rd century. During the 2280s, he owned and operated Purdi's Book Emporium in San Francisco. Though he fulfilled special requests to print and bind books of paper pages, he considered these indulgences, and far less preferable to books on disk and in "read while you sleep" editions.
