Rachel Sexton is a gister working for NRO under director William Pickering. She is the daughter of Senator Thomas Sedgewick Sexton and his deceased wife Katherine. She was involved in a complication with Nasa during her father's campaign. She is in her mid-thirties, single, very smart and resourceful. At the end of Deception Point, she begins a relationship with oceanographist Michael Tolland.
