The most numerous and reliable repeating blaster in Confederate service is the MRB-2000, or Medium Repeating Blaster 2000. Light and mobile, Confederate infantry units can utilize the MRB-2000 under the most chaotic battlefield scenarios in the galaxy. The MRB-2000 is an air-cooled repeating blaster, and with that after a long period of fire the barrel becomes out of alignment with its sights because of the intense heat produced. So, in that sense, the barrel needs to be changed after every 3000 or so blast bolts fired (however this may vary with battlefield situations).
