The Bass Battle is a fight between Scott Pilgrim and Todd Ingram using Bass guitars. The aim of the battle is to perform a better solo than the opponent. The Bass Battle comes from the Guitar Hero game series, where in career mode, the player occasionally faces a famous musician who challenges them to a music battle. It is a pun off of the common video game term, "Boss Battle".
