Denis Holand's father was a poor farmer on Corellia in the decades prior to the Alsakan Crisis. He and his family lived in poverty, as they were not able to grow many crops on their farm. Denis Holand, who went on to become Galactic Senator of Corellia, credited his father and his upbringing for raising him to be a successful man of character.
