The Victoria Street Mission was a religious building used by the Weatherfield Mission committee. The mission opened in Victoria Street on 9th February 1970 in a hall which was originally opened on 6th March 1892 by Alderman J.C.B. Russell JP. By 1970, many Missions in the town had been closed although the new hall stayed open until at least 1972. Ernest Bishop was a lay preacher at the Mission, and Ena Sharples, former caretaker at the Glad Tidings Mission, played the harmonium there.
