Daisuke is the only son of the Kagegakure ANBU Commander and the Murakami Clan head, Gokufu Murakami, and his wife Hanabi. As a child, Daisuke grew up in the shadow of his older sister, Miyuki Murakami, a child prodigy viewed as the strongest person in the Murakami Clan.
