Akito Takagi is mentioned as having an older brother, who is attending a good university around the time Takagi is attending junior high school. Little is known about Takagi's older brother and he does appear in the anime when Takagi is watching Saint Visual Girls Academy on tv, his brother is trying to sleep but gets woken up when watching Saint Visual Girls Academy. Takagi remarks to Mashiro that his older brother lost most of his enthusiasm for studying after failing the entrance exam to a national university, and now spends most of his time attending group activities and mixers. During the first New Year's Party by Shonen Jump that Muto Ashirogi attends, Takagi mentions that he borrowed the suit he was wearing from his older brother.
