The RG3120F features a mahogany body with a AAA flamed maple top bolted to a maple and walnut Wizard Prestige neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with small dot position markers. Components include dual DiMarzio/Ibanez humbucking pickups, an Edge Pro double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines. The RG3120 is a predecessor model which has different pickups and fretboard inlays but it otherwise similar. The RG3120F was discontinued after 2006. In 2008, a similar model was introduced as the RG3520Z.
