Free gifts were items attached to the front of several issues of Sonic the Comic in an attempt to encourage readers to purchase that particular issue. Some of them were directly STC-related, such as transfers and stickers of popular characters. Others would feature Sonic the Hedgehog on "cool" items like frisbees and rulers. Additionally, other free gifts were simply promoting something else popular at the time, particularly evident with Chewits towards the end of STC's run. These items were often arranged by the Product Manager.
