Edward Hagler was a Human male in the 24th century. Hagler's sister was Captain Nora Hagler. In 2369 he had risen to the rank of Lieutenant in Starfleet and was serving on the USS Enterprise-D. In that year Hagler was one of several people on the Enterprise who were abducted by the Solanagen-based entities, who performed medical experiments on their abductees. The entities replaced Hagler's blood with polymer, an act which killed him shortly after being returned to the Enterprise. (TNG episode: "Schisms")
