Poliwhirls resemble Poliwags, but their legs are more pronounced - allowing them to navigate on land quickly and easily. They also have arms, which have hands that are fully capable of using implements - but are mostly used for slapping. Poliwhirls have no visible mouth, but are able to slide food directly into their body anywhere along the seam of their belly. A Poliwrath's eyes are similar to those of a frog and stick out from the top of its head. This allows a Poliwhirl to see everything that goes on above the water while remaining mostly submerged, where it is relatively safe.
