The Beacon is Aeon's frigate and is a dedicated anti-surface vessel. It is equipped with dual Quantum Cannons and has a higher DPS than other units of its type. It also possess a Quasar Anti Torpedo system, giving it substantial resistance to torpedoes. The Beacon should be deployed along with Sylphs to dramatically increase to effectiveness of both, and should be escorted by Shards, due to a complete lack of any AA weapons. The Beacon is extremely useful in bombarding near-shore targets as well as destroying amphibious units travelling on the surface of the water.
