The Roanoke Underhill crashed in June of 2009, colliding with a mountainside at a point where it should otherwise have passed into the Lands Below. The crash occurred shortly after Abraham Thorn struck a deal with the Generous Ones, by way of his children Alexandra Quick and Maximilian King, usurping the pact made by the American Wizarding Confederation.
