Sudou is a boy who went to the same middle school Kyon, Sasaki, Kunikida and Okamoto went to and is the same age as them. In year 1, he wanted to hold a get-together for students from his year who had graduated from that school. By this point, Sudou was going to an urban high school. Sasaki claimed he liked Okamoto, but Kyon believed he actually was fond of Sasaki instead.
