Bigotites is a middle Jurassic ammonite found in Europe included in the perisphictid subfamily Leptosphinctinae. Shells are essentially evolute with a deep umbilicus and whorls that overlap somewhat. Bigotites petri is found in the UK in the Coombe Quarry at Mapperton with Vermisphinctes, Parkinsonia, Oxycerites and Strigoceras.. Another, Bigotites thevenini from the upper Bajocian of France, grew to at least 12,8cm (5.04in) in diameter and has primary ribs that arise on umbilical shoulder and divide on ventro-lateral shoulder, infilled by smaller ventral ribs.
