The Idran sector was a sector of space in the Gamma Quadrant which contained the Gamma Quadrant terminus of the Bajoran wormhole and the Idran system. About fifty millennia prior to the 24th century the Eav'oq species hid themselves in subspace where they remained until 2376 when Jake Sisko, Opaka Sulan and their companions activated a mechanism which brought the Eav'oq back into normal space. At the same time their home system, the Idran system, relocated three light years to its location fifty millennium prior at the Gamma Quadrant terminus of the Bajoran wormhole.
