The Talaxian ship was a type of small starship used by the Talaxians to defend their colonies. The ship was armed with a bow-mounted directed energy weapon and protected by shields, though it lacked transporter capability. In late 2372, the USS Voyager crew created false sensor readings of ten Talaxian ships to divert four carrier vessels from a Kazon-Nistrim fleet. They then generated holograms of two more Talaxian ships to divide the fire of the remaining Kazon vessels.
