Rogue is a normal teenage girl, who, unbeknownst to her family is a mutant. Her powers began to manifest after kissing her boyfriend, thus taking his life force and putting him into a coma for nearly a month. She runs away from home, fearing that she might harm her friends and family. She hitches a ride with a friendly truck driver, who takes to Alberta, Canada, where she meets another mutant known only as Wolverine.
