Eddie Rivera (1955-1984) was a Detective in the Metro-Dade Organized Crime Bureau's Vice Division, partner of James "Sonny" Crockett, who was killed in the line of duty by a car bomb planted by the drug lord Calderone, leaving a widow, Maria Rivera, and their unborn child.
