Steve Earles is an artist from Newmarket on Fergus, County Clare, and the creator of Celtic Sorrow (1988). He is the writer of "The Bitter Harvest", drawn by Johnny McMonagle about serving members of the Irish Volunteer Force, in To End All Wars: The Graphic Anthology of World War One, Soaring Penguin Press, 2014
