Robotnik built the Spinball Murder Machine in the Casino Night Zone with the assembly being a total secret. Shortly after its completion, Tails stumbled across the machine whilst looking for trouble and a chance to prove himself. The Troopers guarding it easily captured Tails and strapped him to one of the bumpers. Sonic soon came to save him and was trapped in the pinball table before Robotnik sent him careering off several platforms. He finally came to rest and was targeted by the Super Spinball, but Tails jumped on it and rolled it into the generator, destroying the whole game.
