This alter-ego is introduced when Linus van Pelt invites Snoopy to join him in truffle hunting. Snoopy initially refuses. However, after Linus assures him that truffles do not bite, Snoopy joins him, referring to himself as "The World Famous Truffle Hound." When Linus informs his sister, Lucy, that he and Snoopy are going on a truffle hunt, she riducules Snoopy by questioning whether he is a pig or a truffle hound.
