Stephen Seaward Tayler (6 September 1824 - 29 October 1909) was an engineer and local politician in south London. Born at Kennington, in the parish of Lambeth, Tayler was one of the committee of proprietors of Battersea Bridge in 1864 when it was sold to the Albert Bridge Company. He died at his home in Streatham aged 85 and was cremated at Golders Green Crematorium.
