The 2008 Stater Brothers 300 was a Nationwide Series event held at California Speedway on February 25, 2008. Forty-five hours after the race was to be originally run, the race finally got started. But in reality, nothing had changed since the previous week. Tony Stewart led all but fourteen laps in route to his second straight victory, holding off teammate Kyle Busch, who had also finished second in the previous event. Stewart now held a 30-point championship lead on Busch, who failed in his effort to lead all three national series' point standings at once.
