This is the original version of the series and was published in 1993 for MS-Dos and Apple platforms. It was developed by Sintex and publisher by MicroProse. It was created to be the successor to Star Lords which was never commercially released. The rights to the game were sold to Wargaming.net in 2013 and the game is currently being redeveloped for current platforms. The revision was officially announced in 2015 however the release date has not been determined.
