The Radiant is a superhero created on the planet Catalan as the planet's last defense against Doomsday. The Radiant battled Doomsday, and, due to the fact that he was an energy being, he was able to kill the monster after a prolonged struggle. He then went on to continue protecting Catalan for years. However, some years later, Doomsday found his way back to Catalan and had a rematch with the Radiant. This time, however, the monster had become resistant to The Radiant's powers, and destroyed him.
