Mrs Sykes arrives to check in at the B&B with her husband Mr Sykes. Eric Pollard and Val Pollard are attempting to tidy the B&B in anticipation of Nikhil Sharma and Gennie Walker purchasing the business from them and are both horrified that they forgot the Sykes' were arriving at the same time. Val describes them as making "the Grim Reaper look like the life and soul". A few days later, the Sykes' were complaining over the food in the B&B and were threatening to leave until Nikhil managed to persuade them to stay.
