The 1959 Daytona 500 Qualifier was a Grand National (now Sprint Cup) event held at Daytona International Speedway on February 20, 1959. Cars who did well in this event would transfer into the inagural Daytona 500. Bob Welborn ensured his place, leading 33 of the 40 laps to start the year with two races and two victories.
