Eldorado Overture is the opening track to Eldorado a symphony by the Electric Light Orchestra. The song was more akin to a classical piece of music and featured a real orchestra, it was the most ambitious track ever attempted by Jeff Lynne as indeed the entire album was. Prior to this track Lynne used to record with his two cello players and one violin, and would double track the recordings many times to get 'a bigger sound'. The song also features a narrative to the Eldorado concept, The dreamer, the unwoken fool. High on a hill in Eldorado spoken by Peter Ford-Robertson a hired actor.
