Zack Metzger was the lead guitarist of the band Blue Pill. Zack clashed with Hayley when she disbanded Blue Pill to escape these bad influences. He was furious that he were being abandoned by Haley just as she was about to achieve major label success. Because she owned the rights to the band's name exclusively, they could do nothing to stop her. This gave him a motive to kill Haley. He alibied out, however.
