Jeordam was the greatfather of Rhodric, and the son of Lewin, who at that time was leader of the largest sept of Aiel. When a group of Jenn Aiel led by Morin sought out the help of the Aiel to rescue kidnapped kin from a village including Morin's daughter, they were met by Jeordam, who led them to the camp. There Jeordam instructed Morin in the use of a shortened spear; simultaneously inventing the short stabbing spears used by all future Aiel, including the first Maiden of the Spear. Jeodam is an ancestor of Rand.
