The Squidraken is an enemy in the additional dungeons appearing in the Dawn of Souls and succeeding versions of the original Final Fantasy, loosely based on the Mindflayer species from Final Fantasy Tactics. It is less dangerous than the Mindflayer because its attacks do not inflict Instant Death; however, it can still use the Mind Blast move, which may Paralyze the whole party.
