Shredder was mainly voiced by the late James Avery, who was known for playing Uncle Phil from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. However, in a few episodes, he was voiced by Jim Cummings, Townsend Coleman, and Dorian Harewood as fill-in actors. From the seventh season onward, Shredder was voiced by Bill Martin.
