Little Doe, known in Lakota mystic circles as Grey Skies, was an important Shaman of the Lakota tribe. She didn't advertise this role, however; to her family, she was just a more pedestrian medicine woman. On the other hand, she manipulated behind the scenes to get Kayda to leave Whateley Academy and return to the reservation, by tasking retired Chief Dan Bear Claws with arranging a campaign of harassment at school.
