Richard Gurman help to write a total of seventeen episodes of MWC, and served as a producer, in some capicity, for 115 episodes in total. He was a supervising producer from the "Pilot", and wrote "Have You Driven a Ford Lately?" as his first MWC script. Prior to this show, he had worked on Laverne & Shirley, Happy Days, Diff'rent Strokes and Mork & Mindy (among others), and most recently he has been a writer and producer for Dog with a Blog. During the first and second seasons, he frequently collaborated on writing episodes with Katherine Green.
