Anastasius I of Diadochia (604-March 15, 669) was the Diadochian Emperor from 639 to 669. His rise to power began in 637, when he and his father, Anastasius the Elder, the exarch (viceroy) of Numidia, successfully led a revolt against the widely unpopular and hated usurper Artabasdos of Diadochia.
