Egwene begins opening doors in the hall where Else and the woman in white disappeared. Nynaeve says they will find Else later and warn her to be quiet. Egwene says it is not Else but someone tall and striking with black eyes and hair. Nynaeve says they need to go to the storeroom. Nynaeve, Elayne and Egwene go into the storerooms below the library. Elayne and Egwene channel the Power for globes of light. The arrive at the designated room but the door is chained closed with a lock. Nynaeve works to make herself angry so she can channel and creates a pry bar with the power and breaks a link in the chain.
