Maven is a jobless woman obsessed with vampires and vampire lore, and surrounded with Gothic clothes and other macabre items. She sometimes claims to be a vampire, although in the Underworld review Maven thought it was ridiculous when Obscurus Lupa implied that she was one (even though this was immediately after she had claimed Lupa was a werewolf). When Maven interacts with other characters and contributors, they often refer to her as if she is really just Elisa, although she always denies this and insists that she is Maven. Elisa's Facebook page bears the Maven's name.
