Gamon Vell was a male Bajoran in the 24th century. By the 2370s he served as a Vedek in the Bajoran faith. In April 2376 he was approximately 41.5 years old. In April 2376 Gamon volunteered to pursue Prylar Istani Reyla, who had travelled to Deep Space 9 to hide the Ohalu Prophecies, which the Vedek Assembly considered heretical. Gamon had a fake ID card made, giving him the identity of Galihie S., from the Laksie township near Jalanda, and booked passage to DS9, under the guise of visiting the station's temple.
