Devros was a blue-skinned Kree, a warlike alien species from Marvel comics - however he was exceptionally racist, even by Kree standards and believed blue-skinned Krees were superior to all others. This wouldn't stop Devros from betraying his entire team however when the Brood attacked their vessel and he willingly allowed himself to be infected with a Brood egg, falling in love with an unknown Brood Queen.
