Gargush was one of several orc chieftains from Moria. He was the chieftain of the first chamber and leader of the legion of orcs that pursuited the fellowship in the first chamber, but Gargush and his orcs were scared by the Balrog and ran away avoiding a confrontation with the demon. In the Fourth Age Gargush was the orc general who commanded an army of Moria Goblins against the dwarven army in The Battle for Caradhas. An dwarf named Gorhan pushed Gargush out of the mountain and Gargush fell in a pit-trap where he was impaled by an large spike, locked in the ground.
