The One Truth kata was based on Kakita's principle that a true master of the blade needed only one strike to end any conflict - sometimes less than that. Though not as esoteric as the bushi of the Shiba or Mirumoto families, this style focused students' chi in a way that could only be described as supernatural, forcing opponents into ineffective action or complete inaction. The One Truth kata was a graceful exercise that focused the bushi's mind and spirit in such a way that others were awed by his presence.
