A massive locust swarm threatens the Earth, causing mankind to drop a massive amount of insecticide. In response, the locusts send out a signal to space. When the message reaches their locust brethren, the Invader Legion arrives on Earth, easily winning the battle. To win the war and ensure the survival of humanity, Special Project Final X is started. This involves sending Pete and Helen Martin to an arctic island by a specially-designed plane. The cold, barren area is a place the insectoid invaders are not follow. Pete and Helen are to be insurance of the human race's survival.
