Ra was originally a Torchic that Emerald received from Professor Birch as a starter Pokemon after rescuing him from Poochyena. Ra's strength mostly lies in his legs, making his kicks extremely powerful where it normally takes one hit to deal with his opponents. Not only that, but his legs were trained in speed and agility; making him faster than light during his Mega Evolution via Speed Boost at maximum Speed Stat. Ra's Adamant nature also boosts his attack power. His very deep trust, strong bond and connection with Emerald allowed him to push his limits that of what normal Blazikens wouldn't be able to overcome. Ra's Blaze Kick and High Jump Kick work well in fast and strong combos that make it hard for the opponent to predict where his kicks will land from being trained to always act on
