The 1962-20 was a Grand National (now Nextel Cup) event held at Concord Speedway on May 6, 1962. Richard Petty appeared to have the best car in the race, leading the first 134 laps, but fell out while leading due to axle issues. Joe Weatherly, the eventual season champ, inherited the lead for the last 66 laps in route to a half-lap victory on Cotton Owens. Stats
