Crozdig was arguably the world's first major republic, as the monarchy was overthrown and replaced with an elected government in 912 BU. However, Crozdig was unable to root out nobility systems in any of the lands it annexed. The archipelago is very mountainous, with thick jungles in the interior and densely-populated coasts. Crozdig shares a maritime border with Wal-Pei to the east and with Haxroxex to the south.
