The Orb of Truth was one of the sacred Orbs that were gifted to the Bajoran people by the Prophets. This Tear of the Prophets was held at the Kendra Shrine on Bajor before the Occupation by the Cardassian Union. Hadlo, a member of the Cardassian Oralian Way, was exposed to the Orb of Truth during the initial first contact between the two races. After facing the light of the orb, the cleric believed that the Bajoran faith and that of the Oralian Way were intertwined and asked that an enclave be set for his people on Bajor.
