The "Ballad of Gales" (疾風の唄 Shippū no Uta?, Song of Gales) is a song from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. When played on the Wind Waker, the song allows Link to harness the power of cyclones. The ability was granted to him by Cyclos, the god of winds, after Link stumbled upon him in a mighty twister and shot him thrice with the Hero's Bow. Impressed by his courage and strength, Cyclos taught Link the melody, which enabled him to transport both him and his boat to several different destinations in the Great Sea.
