The Parable of the Lamp under a Bowl, or as it is called in KJV under a bushel, is a parable told by Jesus in Matthew 5:14-15, Mark 4:21-25, Luke 8:16-18, and Luke 11:33-36. Luke 8:16-18 reads: "No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light. For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open. Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Those who have will be given more; as for those who do not have, even what they think they have will be taken from them."
